Sanford L. Croley

Sanford L. "Sandy" Croley of Boulder died at TRU Community Care Center Thursday, June 16, 2016. He was 75. A private family graveside service will be held at Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver. A Memorial Service in celebration of his life will be held on December the 12th, 2016, at the Boulder Elks Lodge in Boulder. Military Honors will be provided by the United States Army. The time of the service will be announced at a later date. Sandy was born December 12, 1940 to Brett and Patricia (Keating) Croley in Gillman, CO. He graduated from Boulder High School before going on to earn an associate's degree from Metropolitan State University of Denver. On December 12, 1982 Sandy married Amanda Lee Ankcorn in Boulder. They were married for 34 years. Sandy co-owned Croley Truck Lines with his father and worked as a small engine mechanic for Rental City. Sandy was a life member of BPOE Lodge #566, he was a Past Exalted Ruler and Lodge Trustee. He fought a courageous battle with his COPD and pemphigoid. We will miss him dearly, and we know he's reunited with his beloved Carmen. He is survived by his wife Amanda of Boulder; his brother Patrick Riley Croley of Paulden, AZ, his sister Bretta Sue Reese of Stagecdach, NY, his son, Jerry Croley of Denver, CO, his stepsons Kirk Hickey of Mack, CO and Joseph Hickey of San Marcos, CA, his daughter Leslie Croley of Burlington, WA, his stepdaughters Shari Owen of Loveland, CO, and Patricia Hickey of Denver, CO, and his 10 grandchildren.
