Patrick (P.J.) passed away peacefully at his home in Golden, Colorado on Sunday May 18, 2014.
Patrick was born in Wichita, Kansas on October 7, 1982 to parents Patrick and Kristy Cain. Following his father's graduation the family returned to Colorado where Patrick resided throughout his childhood and the majority of his adult life.
Patrick graduated from Standley Lake High School in 2001 where he had many friends. Patrick attended Belleview Christian Academy in 2000, his junior year in high school, where he played an integral role in helping them win the Colorado State Basketball Championship that year. Patrick pursued a career in music following graduation as well as being an independent artist. Patrick was also a skilled writer and poet and possessed a tremendous imagination.
Patrick resided his last months in Golden, Colorado where he enjoyed living very much. He enjoyed spending time with family, especially having coffee and talks with his sister Alicia. Patrick was an avid reader and was blessed with tremendous intelligence as well as a great sense of humor. He also enjoyed nature and hiking, as well as connecting with animals and children, especially his little sister Emily. He wanted to pursue owning a pet wolf, but would state if he can't have a wolf then he wanted to get a micro teacup Pomeranian. He enjoyed the family dogs, especially "Lucky", and would often visit him and looked forward to sleepovers at his place with him.
Patrick was a much loved family member and friend and he is missed greatly.
Patrick is survived by his Mother, Kristy Cain, Father and Step-Mother Patrick and Michelle (Bodin) Cain, Sister and Brother-in-Law Alicia and Tyler Stanworth and Sister Emily Cain. Grandparents Jim and Cora Cain, Laurence and Barb White, Jacque and Carl Ditolla, Jim and Catie Bodin and Judy Falco. Aunt and Godmother Stephanie Cain. As well as numerous Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.
