Martha Wesley Cory

November 30, 1941 — August 7, 2019

Martha Jane Wesley Cory was born on November 29, 1942, in Detroit, Michigan, and died on August 7, 2019, in Louisville, Colorado. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Carol Domine Wesley. She is survived by R. Michael Cory, her daughter, Dr. Jennifer Cory Behler (Dr. Andrew Behler), her grandchildren Jack, Addison and Eloise Behler, her sisters Susan Krump and Sara (John) Ford, her nieces and nephews Tim (Michele), Martha (Scott), Kathryn (Lyn), Ethan (Michelle), Erin (Patrick), Sara, Paul (Dana), Sean and Keith (Amy).

Martha graduated from Rogers High School, Rogers, Arkansas, in 1960, and Wichita State University in 1965. She received a Master of Arts from the Institute of Logopedics, Wichita State University in 1968. She worked for 25 years as a speech and language pathologist at Avista Therapy Clinic in Louisville, Colorado. She taught English in Germany for 8 years. Upon retirement, Martha enjoyed volunteering at the Food Bank, the local schools and many community events. Her hobbies included knitting, cross stitch, travel, reading and coffee breaks and she particularly loved children.

Martha was a friend extraordinaire and she will be sorely missed by her family and her close- knit family of devoted friends: Carol, Dan, Gwen, Jeanie, Joan, Lori K, Lori W, Paula, Phil, Shandi, Sherry, Wallace and Cooper. She never met anyone who did not quickly become a friend.
