Lisa Marie Johnson

November 30, 1965 — January 9, 2015

Lisa Marie Johnson died late on Friday, January 9, 2015 at her home in Boulder. She was 48. A memorial service and celebration of Lisa’s life will be held at Unity of Boulder Spiritual Center, 2855 Folsom Street on Monday, February 9, 2015 at 5:30 P.M. A reception will follow the service at the church. Lisa was born to Arvid Bruce Johnson and Eleanor Christine Walden on July 24, 1966 in Mount Kisco, NY. She graduated from Richfield High School in Richfield CT, before going on to receive degrees at both NYU, and a MBA at the University of Colorado Boulder. For the last 24 years Lisa has worked as a Database Planner and Technical Team Leader for IBM. On September 30, 2000 Lisa married Ronald R. Allred in Longmont CO. She is survived by her husband Ron, her parents: Arvid Johnson and Eleanor Wald, as well as her sister Allison B. Norman of Loveland, CO. “Lisa was a beautiful vibrant woman who never took life for granted. She loved travel, volunteering, her family and her beloved cocker spaniel Snickers. Lisa was a regular volunteer at both The Boulder County Humane Society and The Denver Art Museum. She was an inspiration to everyone who knew her. Although her life was cut too short, she never gave up, and most importantly she “lived.” She didn’t “get by”, she didn’t “survive” she truly lived. Lisa will be dearly missed by so many, but it is a blessing to be able to celebrate such a beautiful life, that touched us all.” In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to be made in Lisa’s name to the Boulder County Humane Society, 2323 55th Street, Boulder, CO 80301.
