Kathryn Nelson

Kathryn Nelson of Boulder died, Friday, April 15, 2016, at her home in Boulder surrounded by loving family. She was 94. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, April 21, 2016, at 11:00 A.M. at Sacred Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 6739 S. Boulder Rd, Boulder, CO 80303.Private family burial will be held at Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver. Kathryn was born August 21, 1921 in Newark, New Jersey to Edward Joseph and Esther Dougherty. Kathryn married the late Thomas F. Nelson, on September 26, 1942. He preceded her in death in 1999. Survivors: Daughters; Debra Valese of Cresco, Pennsylvania (Joseph); Susan Comer of Boulder, Colorado (Jerry); Kathy Richards of Sonoma, California (Bob); and Carol Maglione of Toms River, New Jersey (Dennis). Grandchildren: Nicholas Valese (Jillian), Jennifer Valese (Scott Hamill) Meghan Comer Rivera (Michael), Andrew Comer (Stephanie Castaldi), Dave Kostiuk (Hiloe Murai), Tracy Richards (Tori), Vincent Maglione (Vivian) and Susan Paz (Mario) and 3 great-grandchildren.
