Janice Jean Lippoldt

November 30, 1928 — April 14, 2017

Janice Jean Lippoldt, 87, passed away from natural causes on April 14th, 2017 in hospice care at Balfour Living Center in Louisville, CO.

Born in Concordia, KS on May 7th, 1929 to parents Clair Don Glidden and Lois Warholm Glidden, Janice graduated from Salina High School and went on to study at Kansas Wesleyan College.  She married Jack C. Lippoldt on June 7th, 1949 in Salina, KS.  After relocating to Boulder, CO from Overland Park, KS forty-six years ago, Janice worked in the real-estate industry.  She was a realtor with Garrett-Broomfield, Van Schaack, and ReMax.  Often referred to as a “ball of fire,” her family remembers her as a person who lived life to the fullest, traveled the world, enjoyed going to casinos, played bridge and poker with her friends, and loved spending time with her family.  Further, she exercised until age 83 with the “Silver Sneakers” at East Boulder Recreation Center three times a week.

Janice was preceded in death by her husband in March of 2013, her brother, Jack Clair Glidden, her mother and father, and her eldest daughter, Linda Kay Lippoldt Freeby.  She is survived by her son, Lynn Lippoldt and his wife, Dianne (Erie, CO), her daughters, Kristin Lippoldt (Louisville, CO) and Kimberly Ray and her husband, Tom (Superior, CO), her grandchildren Jacqueline and Tyler Henderson (Superior, CO), as well as her step-grandchildren, Jennifer McManus and her husband, Shawn, and Devin and Jenny Ray.

A ceremony of burial will take place at Roselawn Cemetery in Salina, KS on Monday, April 24th at 10AM.  Thank you for your kind thoughts and prayers.  Rest in peace, Janice, and always stay “classy and sassy.”
