Howard Sherba

November 30, 1925 — May 10, 2014

Howard Sherba, 88 of Boulder, died Saturday, May 10, 2014 at Boulder Community Hospital. Howard was born on March 7, 1926 in Colorado Springs, Colorado to John and Susie (Sokol) Sherba. He graduated from Colorado Springs High School and later received a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Denver. Howard served his country in the United States Navy. He worked at IBM for approximately 35 years as a computer programmer. He enjoyed collecting Studebakers, visiting state capitals and national parks, and gardening. Howard married Thelma Mangels on February 5, 1955 in Reno, Nevada. She preceded him in death on June 20, 2009. He was also preceded in death by his parents, John and Susie Sherba as well as brothers, Ed, Johnny, Paul, and Vormas Sherba. Howard is survived by: son, Tim Sherba of Boulder; daughter, Susanne (Rick Muller) Sherba of Aurora; brothers, Tom Sherba of Fremont, CA and Paul Sherba of Colorado Springs; Sister, Betty Archer of Lederach, PA; grandson, Austin Sherba; and many nieces and nephews.
