Eileen Tiedeman

November 30, 1923 — December 30, 2013

Eileen June Tiedeman, 89, died at her home in Louisville, CO, early Monday, December 30. Eileen earned a Social Work degree from Valparaiso University and her MSW from Washington University in St. Louis, MO. Her career spanned various casework positions in the Fargo, ND area, teaching part time in the Social Work Department of Concordia College, Moorhead, MN, facilitating process therapy groups for Anne Wilson Schaef, A Course in Miracles group sessions, bereavement groups, and assisting with local hospice organizations. Eileen married Paul Tiedeman in May 1956, living with him in Fargo, ND; Orcas Island, WA; and Columbia City, OR prior to his death in 1995. She married James Speer in April 2000. Eileen is survived by her daughters Deborah (Greg Gilman) and Victoria (Eric Roth), son Jonathan (Cathi) Tiedeman, one brother, Donald (Carol) Borjesson, and 10 grandchildren. She was preceeded in death by her parents; her husbands, Paul Tiedeman and James Speer; her sister, Jean (Borjesson) Carlson, and her brother, Bill Borjesson. A celebration of Eileen's life will be held at 10am on Saturday, January 4 in the Balfour Chautauqua Theater located at the Balfour Retirement Community 1310 Hecla Drive in Louisville.
