Diana Sonya Zimmerman Kahn, passed peacefully on August 7, 2024, in Golden, Colorado.
A 63-year resident of Boulder, Diana embodied kindness, quiet strength, generosity, and determination.
Born in Los Angeles to E. Pearl and Harold L. Zimmerman, Diana met Dr. Kenneth A. Kahn in San Francisco, where she worked, and he was doing his medical residency. The couple were married for 58 years until Ken’s passing in 2016.
An active and engaged mother to Bev Gray and Mike Kahn (Becky Olson-Kahn), Diana was also a wonderful grandmother to Evan and Lindsay Gray and Drake and Connor Olson.
Diana was a true friend. She became the go-to carpool driver and support person to many. Whenever she was needed, Diana was there, never complaining and always reliable.
Diana was the consummate hostess. She enjoyed cooking, playing bridge and tennis, traveling, yoga and reading. She was an involved member of the Boulder community and volunteered with the American Heart Association, Boulder Justice Center, and the University of Colorado.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations in Diana’s honor to the American Heart Association, Parkinson’s Foundation, or a charity of choice.
