Connie Jo Schulte

September 19, 1943 — September 1, 2025

Erie

Longtime Boulderite Connie Schulte passed away on September 1st, 2025, after battling Alzheimer’s Disease. She was 82.

Born September 19th, 1943, in Shenandoah, Iowa, to parents Ray Henry Ingrim and Clara Warrene Smith, Connie grew up in Grand Island, Nebraska. She graduated from Grand Island H.S. and married Allen Schulte in Grand Island on July 14th, 1962. The young couple moved to Boulder sixty years ago, but Allen’s job with IBM bounced them back and forth between Boulder and Tucson, Arizona, twice during the early years of their marriage. They had two sons, Todd and Scott, and Connie cherished her role as a homemaker during their formative years.

In her later years, Connie devoted her time to her passion, flower arrangements. So much so that she worked at a florist in Tucson, creating beautiful bouquets for eager clients. Spending the winters in Mesa, Arizona, also brought Connie and Allen joy.

Connie was predeceased by her paternal grandparents, John and Mable Ingrim (of Shenandoah, Iowa); her maternal grandparents, Victor and Nellie Smith (of Shenandoah, Iowa); her parents, Ray and Warrene Ingrim (of Lafayette, CO); and her brother, Dennis Ingrim (of Broomfield, CO). She is survived by her loving husband Allen (of Erie, CO), as well as four grandchildren and their spouses, and two great-grandchildren.

Connie will be laid to rest in a traditional graveside ceremony on Tuesday, September 9th at 11:00 am at Broomfield County Commons Cemetery (12801 Sheridan Blvd, Broomfield, CO 80020), officiated by Don Wirthman.

Please consider a memorial donation to Franklin Graham's Samaritan's Purse (samaritanpurse.org).

The Schulte family thanks you for all your heartfelt thoughts and prayers.
