Adele E. Borowsky

November 30, 1936 — July 25, 2018

Adele Esther Pearis Borowsky, born April 22, 1937, passed peacefully in her sleep July 25, 2018. She was born and raised in Binghamton, NY by her parents Charles and Marguerite Pearis. She met her future husband Danny on a blind date in Miami Beach. They married on March 22, 1959 in Atlantic City, NJ and then moved to North Miami Beach, FL where they raised their 2 children, Bruce and Jodi.

Adele graduated from Barry University with a degree in Social Work at the age of 45 and worked at Mount Sinai Medical Center for over 20 years. Adele always went out of her way to help everyone, particularly those with aging issues. Her family always joked that "she never met a stranger." In 1992, Adele and Danny retired to Boulder so they could be near their kids. To those who met her, Adele was one of a kind - a truly unique individual whose fire burned very bright. She will be missed.

She is survived by her son Bruce Borowsky (Jenny Doyle); daughter Jodi Sheinberg (Peter); grandchildren Michael, Joshua, Sophie, and Noah; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Daniel, her sister June Meinstein, and her parents. Instead of a service, her family requests donations be made to NAMI Boulder County.
